Why
An Apple Health export is a several-gigabyte archive: one large XML file and a folder of GPX traces. I wanted my workouts and my measurements back without handing everything to a third-party app.
How
Three command-line tools. The first gathers every GPX in the export into a single CSV. The second lists the measurement types present in the XML and exports one of your choice. The third draws an interactive map with folium: the traces on one side, a heatmap on the other, with optional sampling and blur.
